My Dad...in honor of those whom have moved on.

Posted by Rebecca Tatum on Saturday, June 17, 2017,
In honor of Fathers Day I want to share a poem written for my dad when he went to heaven:

My Dad in living his life I saw so much victory
But at times he and I never much about that agreed
His life in his eyes sometimes wandered in the wrong
Because to him life seemed really hard and long
In the final analysis of this man
My dad was unconditionally loved, truly admired I was a fan
The ways in which he is missed still com on so strong
He could certainly make you mad
A moment later or so, well I was so ...

The Most Hopeful Story Ever Told

Posted by Rebecca Tatum on Thursday, May 4, 2017,

The most hope in a story ever...

This one is simple it is the most hopeful story ever told. In 10 lines or less here goes. In the beginning God created the earth and its abundance. He made man in the image of himself and placed them in God’s garden…the garden of Eden where it was a forever deal. No bloodshed occurred in the garden. Man chose to disobey his one command as we do and fell. Now we are living in the permissive will of God not his perfect will. A fallen world is...

The Season of His Second Coming...

The Season of His Return

I have spent a good deal of time thinking about reading and researching and talking about the 'end times'

The end times...that terms sounds a little gloomy and so this blog, well it is the same message but a different delivery with a positive connotation by using instead "The Season of His Second Coming" and talking in the affirmative that you are going to be ready. Are you ready? You know what I had never expected is that although the end times will be intense...

Amber's Angels

AMBER’S ANGELS…

On January 26, 2011 my beautiful 16-year-old niece Amber Lynn Hiker died. How Amber died is still a small bit of a mystery. The doctors do say it was her own hand-a suicide. Her mom believes that there was too much evidence to overlook the possibly that someone else was there and may have been involved. I have asked the Lord so many questions surrounding her passing and He has answered every question quickly and thoroughly. Except, for some of the d...

The Big 'C'

The Big "C"...

There is one time that when God says no-it is the best no heard. No you are not going to go anywhere I’m not finished with you yet.

The day I was diagnosed with cancer was not be the best day of your life. Adenocarcinoma. I remember seeing this in black and white on the lab form. And the doctors face as she told me. She seemed more upset than I was and she was so sweet.

Then, my mind kind of switched. I went back in time. I still remember one of my best da...

Simple Grace

Simple Grace

Some days I forget...I forget that I have a mansion in heaven. Somewhere I call ‘home’. I will see my daddy face to face who went before me. My grandmother Annie who was my rock on earth when I was a girl. I will see and hug tightly all the others I so dearly miss like my dog Brittany whom I loved with wild abandon. She was my baby. I will never shed another tear or have a thought called fear. Nor will I worry again-ever.

I will have eternity to experience ...

Now Faith and Today God

NOW FAITH AND TODAY GOD ...

Faith is a house with many rooms. Plenty of room for doubt. Why? Doubt creeps in there and tests our faith…keeping it alive. Ever think about it this way? You might not even know what faith is until it is tested.

It will be…maybe you don’t have enough money, or your very ill, someone you know is in big trouble like a spouse or child, maybe your best friend and you don’t agree and can’t remedy things…maybe your loosing your job.

When God says "No"...

When God says no...

There is usually a reason for it. My dad taught me once that when we ask the Lord for something, He always answers. His answer is either “yes”, “no” or “not now”.
My dad was a true prophet. He was never wrong-not even once when asked a question about anything. He sought the Lord, and the Lord always gave him the right answer. But you’d better be prepared to hear it because it was always a word from the Lord. My father once 3000 miles away and wi...

You Can Be Right or You Can Be Happy

YOU CAN BE RIGHT OR YOU CAN BE HAPPY...

There are times to be strong. There are also times to sing songs, don’t we know about that. Those who are bright...Don’t have to be right, That's right. In fact we enjoy being wrong if it is right.

We know this bit of wisdom that does keep us tight. Sometimes you are not wrong, being wrong is right. You can either be right or you can be happy. There is nothing wrong with being right except when you have to be right. I have ...

Prayer Works

Prayer Works

The Victory Prayer is an ever-present help in a time of trouble. It is an inspiration from God. It comes from His Word and His Word alone. It was something I researched for three years. It is an all-inclusive Christian Prayer, a daily devotion. It is a discipline in speaking the protection, benefits and rights you have that God well designed for you.

It is a decision to take God at His Word, as well as a tool to submit to His plans and not ours for our lives on a daily basis....

Got Peace?

GOT PEACE?

There is only one path to this that works, completely. The sweet presence of Jesus, Prince of Peace. In all of human history there is only one person who has been able to make one day for world peace. That day is his birth. Christmas Day. I know the Olympic Games are amazing and they try to unite the world but only one day brings peace. Until He comes to rule in the thousand year reign there will not be peace on the earth for real. So for now enjoy Christmas day.

SATISFIED

I used to be and probably still am, very ambitious. Since I can remember I was always reaching for the stars. That serious work hard and play hard mentality and that meant working 2 to 4 jobs. I love the feeling of being busy and succeeding.

However, literally after all of that striving-all of the time, I ended up with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, chronic fatigue-basically feeling ‘rode hard and put away wet’. I’m sure that I a...

Seeing God

SEEING GOD

My husband John saw the face of God…

We both see God and have a personal relationship with Him. We say this very humbly. Personally we can’t imagine a life without a higher power. Sometimes life just really stinks and it is good to know that God never did intend any of this and that He still has a plan. God does not want to elude us but show us He is real.

Even when we know and love God no matter how much we do what is most important to Hi...

SWOOSH...

I went to my favorite places in Malibu California and found a great rescue for animals called Hope Ranch. The owner was looking for volunteers to help her with this massive property full of rescued animals and every Friday I can go-I’m there.

I love this place, these animals and the other volunteers. It is so much fun and I feel like-I ‘found myself’ here. It is not only incredibly beautiful we all love caring for these animals and especi...

You Choose

      YOU CHOOSE...

I know this may sound cliché, but I have learned a few things in my many years of serving the Lord. The only person who can allow Him to make you happy is YOU. That means that no other person can permanently take away your happiness. There are some situations that dampen our spirits and require a process to recover from them, but those situations are temporary. Unless you choose different.

I was saved when I was 17 years old.  My sal...
